harvest celebration

Getting together to celebrate a harvest while preparing a garden space for the next season: flowers, fruit, vegetables, soil. So much we have to be grateful for.

about this workshop

Who is it for?

Professional development, personal interest, families, schools, homeschool community, friends, etc

What do we need?

a space, a garden or the bush for foraging, tools

We will learn to identify produce ‘readiness’, how to harvest with consideration for the next crop, how to make a meaningful celebration, how to prune for propagation, plant seedlings, seeds,  with ‘take-homes’ including simple DIY fertilisers.

A 2–3 hour workshop that could be repeated each season. Each learning focus could also become a standalone workshop, for example: making soil, creating natural fertilisers, pruning bushes and trees, designing gardens for bees, shade or food production, or creating new ecosystems such as a pond area or tree-planting project.
